Perfect for people looking for a bit of a challenge but who are limited on time. Morro Peak is only 16km away from Jasper so the driving time is short, the hike itself is up a trail to the summit where you will get an outstanding view of the Athabasca River Valley and the surrounding area. It is less crowded then some of Jasper's other trails but it is close to the highway so although we are off the beaten track we can hear the highway.
Driving time to trail head: Fifteen Minutes

This trail is by far the most popular trail in the area. Our hike gradually gains 500 meters in elevation, offering a panoramic view of the highest peak in the Athabasca Valley, Mount Edith Cavell. The humid environment created by this mountain creates an abundant amount of wild flowers that are at their best in late July and early August. There is also an incredible view of the iconic Angel Glacier.

Short, sweet and steep!!! This is a more challenging hike takes you off the beaten path into a scenic area that is popular with climbers. There is a good chance of seeing wildlife on the drive to the trailhead, and big horn sheep frequent the area.
