Canadian Skyline Adventures and Maligne Tours are teaming up to give you a unique experience where we combine a hike of the Bald Hills Trail with  a delicious meal and Afternoon Tea in the Historic Brewster's Chalet at Maligne Lake at the end of the hike.  Don't worry about a thing after you book as we will take care of transportation lunch and all of the other logistics.

This adventure will begin in Jasper town site with your certified hiking guide picking you up at your accommodation at 8:00am.  Your guide will then take you up to Maligne Lake where the trail begins.  The drive is approximately 45 minutes and your guide will inform you about the amazing geological features on the way.  Plus, Maligne Lake Road is an excellent place to see wildlife.

The Bald Hills is one of the most popular hikes in Jasper National Park and with good reason.  Starting on an old fire road the trail gains elevation slowly at first taking you through a sub alpine forest.

At the 3 km mark the trail separates, with an option of taking a steeper forest path.  People interested in a gentler route can remain on the old fire road.  As the trail ascends there is the opportunity for many remarkable views of Maligne Lake, the Queen Elizabeth Range, The Maligne Range, Charleton-Unwin Glacier, Maligne Glacier and the Colin Range to name a few of the features.

After about 1.5 km the trail breaks out of the forest onto alpine terrain, from here the trail makes it way up to the summit, where we will break for lunch (provided by us!) and photos.  After feeling the accomplishment of reaching this summit we reverse our route and make our way back to the parking lot.

This trail offers a possibility of viewing wildlife, extensive alpine views, and views of alpine flowers during July and August.

You and your group will be back at the parking lot at approximately 3:00pm, from here you will make your way up to the Brewster’s Chalet for Afternoon Tea, starting at 3:30.  After tea we will take you back to the Jasper town site.
