Jasper is the world's second largest Dark Sky Preserve! This year we are offering a night hike to witness the dark sky in all its glory. We start at the town site of Jasper and make our way to Old Fort Point while the sun is setting. We take a trail through the forest and make our way to the top of Old Fort Point. Dusk and early night fall is a good time to hear and see some of the creatures that we share the park with and don't always get to see during the day.
It takes about an hour to get to our site to view the stars. There will be blankets for you to lay back on while you view the stars and the guide will prepare a fondue and a hot drink for you to enjoy.
After we spend some time at the summit we make our way back to Jasper town site.
We can't guarantee the weather or clear skies for this tour, and we reserve the right to cancel until the day of if the weather proves to be inclement, we will issue full refunds if this happens.
Includes guided hike, blankets to lay on, fondue and a hot drink!
